Snug as a bug!

With the V6 purchased it came down to a 50/50 chance if it would fit in the garage!? and if it did, would I be able to get out of the car!?

At one point I thought I would need to invest in a new garage door to gain extra width while entering the garage?

The results....................

A quick DIY blast with the hammer by my Dad to knock a few bricks out, to gain extra width when opening the door....... (thanks Dad).......

Cool :thumleft:. Impressed at the structural alterations ... you should have put a window in there so that you could look at your car from inside the house ;).

hehe good work :D my dad had to do something fairly similar to our old house as the garage wasn't long enough, A4 to A6 Avant caught him out a bit :)

That's more the anoying result of having kids who grow beyond 13 years old, you need bigger cars. So you could conclude it's all your fault Andy that your dad needed to go from an A4 to an A6 Avant. Go shame yourself

actually he decided he'd give himself more money for a company car and that an Avant was easier to get the ladders out of :)

Well done and a good squeeze ...

My garage is 12" wide and I still managed to catch the door edge soon after purchasing the Vee !

You soon get conditioned into how to 'protect' the Vee in most scenarios - though I never take up two car parking spaces or park in disabled ...

Your garage is 12 inches wide ... now that it is a squeeze Martin .

Stonehenge ;).

lol.

Jay your car does look nice and snug in there! i'm done some calculations based on the plans for my house which is being built. Jay what is the width of your garage door if you mind me asking? Are all single garages pretty much standard now? I think mine will be approx 2445mm or 96" or 8'. I can't find the exact dimensions of the mk1 v6 but based on the mk2 i think i'll probably be as snug as Jay's :)
