just went into town to grab some bits, get back to the car to find someone had done this.....

took the pics when i got home, god knows how they did it, but they've ruined her!!!

looks like new side skirt, pod and rear quarter....

any ideas if its repairable? or if there's a body shop in berks to take it too? or how much its likely to be for replacements and costs?

i don't really wanna claim on the insurance unless its over a couple of grand......dont understand how livid i was to find it like this.

Gutted for you mate, just keep an eye our for cars near you with damage to the rear and silver paint all over it and call Police or teach them a lesson yourself.

From the pic its looks like you may be able to save the pod? A good bodyshop may be able to fill and smooth it, saving some cash.

your right, just got back from a friend of the family's body shop, they are going to fix it for me for alot less than i thought it would be.

only thing is it will be in the body shop over the lakes meet weekend so i cant take her!

I know how this feels trust me....and speaking from experience....go to all the places (shops, supermarkets, offices whatever) and check that no CCTV footage is available.....I did exactly that and you would be totally surprised if you knew how many CCTV camera's there are these days - most of which we don't even know of, or aren't even aware they are there.....what have you got to lose..? Police will use (and prosecute on) CCTV footage, so it's worth it....

My heart goes out to you on this....it's the worst feeling in the world when it happens to your pride and joy. I know a fantastic body-shop (a friend of mine) whose done a number of Vee's from off here - PM me if you're interested in using him, although the only downside is, he's up North......

thanks guys, i have spoken to scott who was really helpful as always (thanks again if you see this!)

its booked in a body shop, so will be sorted by the end of the month.

ive contacted the carpark security who said they will go through the cctv for me and get back to me, when i had a look around, it looked like the cameras in the car park where too far way and blocked by pillars. still...might see the git driving away or something, they said they will call back 2moro when theyve had a chance to look.

update…..

they found no sign of it at all on the cctv footage.

I kinda get the feeling they never bothered looking. ive written to them today just to make sure they do actually check.

the car goes into be fixed next week, my family have offered to pay for it as its my birthday in a couple of week, bless em!

i asked the car park security direct, i dont really want to go through the insurance. for a few hundred quid its cheaper for me to pay myself than deal with £300 excess & years paying extra on insurance.

i just wanted to find out who it was!!

hi there,

if you reported the incident to get your crime reference number, the police will directly request the cctv footage on your behalf??? you can then be absolutely sure to get the correct answer back. or did you ask the people own the cctv to look for you??
or are you not putting it through your insurance?

You can request the CCTV your self but may be asked to pay a small charge usually about £10, but you will need to act fast as most CCTV is digital recording and will be writen over very quickly.
