Slightly poorly vee

Right I have a couple of small issues with the vee :(

1: My drivers side front suspension is sitting about 20-30mm lower that the passenger side, looks wicked but want them the same lol Is there a common issue with suspension on the mk1's? I had a quick look in the dark yesteray and the damper isnt leaking and the spring doesnt look broken, I am going to remove the wheen etc later and have a look and hopefully find the issue. (its not the road btw as I have had it on a number of perfectly flat roads to see and its the same).

2: Over the last week the vee has stalled when approaching traffic lights and coming to a standstill with the clutch in. I now its not my driving lol and the clutch was definately depressed but the engine just dies and all ignition lights come on, any ideas? Although the fuel level is relatively low (80miles in tank)the computer said about 17 litres but to be sure I will fill it up and see if it happens again as my first thought that it may be a hill causing fuel to flow to the rear of the tank and not being able to reach the pump.

Thanks in advance for any advice :approve:

With regards to point 1 ... I would suggest having a look at the spring again, perhaps jack the car up first - if you didn't before, even better with the wheel off. The bottom coil cracking off is common with springs and can be difficult to spot when it is compressed up, maybe try and run your finger round the coils and see if there is a break.

Ive just had the wheels off and checked and all looks fine, spring isnt cracked or damaged and the damper isnt leaking and looks nearly new :s

Only thing is the spring wasnt on the bottom stop on the damper, so i compressed the spring and rotated it, however it still sits 15mm lower on the OSF.

Cant think whats the prob is as the car has only done 14k miles and there is no weight in the front boot etc lol
