Side skirt removal

Hi all,

I am preparing to paint some bits of my v6 next week. My front bumper and RH side skirt need to be removed for paint. I have gone through the useful instructions on the front bumper removal on here but am just wondering does anyone know how the skirts are held on. I had a quick look underneath and I think there maybe a pop rivet or 2 used but would like to know where all the fixings are located.

Thanks in advance

Found some info that might help.

Most important step is the removal of the side pods and expensive RenaultSport decals to get to the screws (and renew them).

Prices were 10 years ago. Check with a Renault dealer like Renaultpartsdirect etc.

I think Phill RUSSO might know of some decent copies available?

ronan1506 , the sill decals can be picked up pretty cheap compaired to Renault prices ( have a search ) ;)

I'll ask my painter can he paint will in situ after hearing these prices but he did say it's better to take them off.
thanks all for the advice

My opinion..

Get the new stickers first, make sure you’re happy with them if they’re copies.. (Wasn’t someone one here reproducing them? ;) ) Assuming you’re happy.. get the sills off to paint. You’ll end up with dry edges if you don’t.
Front and rear bumpers, sills, front and rear wings.. all painted off the car during production for the Ph1. :salut:
