Clean looking car, very nice. I remember getting a lift back from my friends dads one night in a black Safrane v6 when I was 13 back in 1998. The car must have been pretty new at the time I can't remember what reg it was but from what I remember it was pretty quick and its the only one I have ever seen, I have no idea what happened to it... It was in Hyde, Greater Manchester.
Well mine ACTUALLY moved yesterday out of the garage
I took it to work for a full service,no probs, bone dry roads and a total of 1 mile covered yesterday and 7 miles since its last service!!
I forgot how nice this drives,no rattles etc and dead quite inside,i MUST drive it more in the better weather, only thing i had to do is get the air horns working again as they had decided to pack up i,am sure due to lack of use...
i chaps
The mileage is actually 84k but it looks like its done a lot less...
I,ve just added the super rare Baccara rear parcelshelf, which is the rear parcelshelf with rails attached underneath, then a large genuine leather suitcase slides into these rails, looks great and is mint again, imported from a chap in France breaking a V6 Baccara.
Can send pics of it if someone posts when again for me!!!
The pics show the glass rear partition screen aswell.
Hi
E-mail sent, just a few things on my wants list now, finding a complete V6 for sale STILL seems to be a major problem, but i will find one soon i hope.
I,ve added some more brochures to my collection aswell,it amazes me how much stuff was done for the Safrane,i often think there can,t be anymore out there, then something else turns up,i,ve bought 3 brochures i,ve never seen before this week.
84K that really is a credit to you and the previous owner.
cars like this become abused uncared for cheap ragabouts very quickly,so that makes it even more amazing and judging by the tlc that you put in to it, I reckon it'll be around quite some time.
Hi, I absolutely love your car. The condition is amazing! I'm a big fan of the Safrane having driven one daily for 9 years now (after a number of also very wonderful R25's). I just wish mine had the electric seats too. This is my car...
Thats clean!
Electric seats was an option on a Phase 2 i think,if you had electric seats(never rears on a phase 2)you got heated seats aswell, multichanger was another option and so was heated screen i think, not 100% sure as i,am not totally clued up on phase 2s.
Theres a phase 2 LHD V6 24V on gumtree at the moment,now thats rare,looks a bit pov spec though,but a bit different.
Cheers for posting the pics for me.
Thanks for the photos, can see what the parcel shelf divider screen thingy is. Looks a bit weird the way it fits with the middle inside and the corners outside.
My clio has one of those suit carrier things under the parcel shelf, don't think it slides out though.
awesome, have you ever used it? must have been replaced at some point which really comes as no surprise if mine was anything to go by, ive gone through two now and both have only taken a matter of seconds to start sagging and looking bad
Yeah only the Williams and the baccrara clio had them,5 monacos had them aswell, but none on sliders to actually remove the suitcase, its actually that,a real suitcase,it opens right up with loads of zips and compartments to use as a real case, very snazzy,SOMEWHERE i have a clio Baccara suitcase, but no shelf, but i have the undershelf case.
Hi SafraneV6RXE,
This is a truly great car - any plans to sell it in the future? I suppose this is a really stupid question. I've been searching for something like this for the past couple of years. Would four figure sum for sure, and I don't mean £1500!! If interested, pls let me know, Cheers, Julian.
