Rubberised chasis coating

Hi All,

I'm currently addressing some surface rust on the rear chassis legs and engine bay area while the engine is out.

Renault used a very flexible tough sealer back in that area.

Any suggestions in good coatings to finish off these areas with?

I have ground off all rust and treated the areas with Wurth rust converter just in case I missed anything.
Not sure of what sealer to use next.

Thanks

Galvanising the rear subframe is a good option too, if you can find someone to attend to that.

The Ph1 wasn’t blessed with a decent quality of underseal in certain areas. SGM has posted up a few case histories of severe rust worm on his Facebook pages in the past.

On my other cards that are in for resto, I have removed the surface rust (knotted grinder wheels are very effective). Treat it with Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80, then Bonda Rust Primer, then I went for Gravitex on top which gives a great, and tough durable finish.

Thanks for all the advice

Using an air belt sander for some areas which is great too.

Using Wurth rust converter over the Areas cleaned .

Check the bungs around the rear part of the sills . Found water pooling in mine. Think sg had a video up of that before. Replacing the bottom sheet of the sill box section on mine anyways but it's a prime area to hold water and rust.
