Megane RS250 Cup build - Track Car

Hi all,

I’ve been asked by Andy to post a build thread. I haven’t kept a full log but here goes,

I have owned the car for just over a year now, I bought the the car as a standard 250 Cup. After spending a fortune on my old Focus mk2 RS turning it into a stage 4 clubsport track car. I sore to myself I wouldn’t do it again.... as you will read that hasn’t gone to plan

Full service history – Cam Belt change 2016
Titan Fuchs Pro oil 5/40 Oil filter, Fuel filter, Spark plugs & Change gearbox oil change (Titan Fuchs 75/80) November 2017, new spark plugs (gapped to 0.6mm) March 2019

Hole cutter panels 4kg
Rear speakers 5kg
Rear plastic panels 5kg

Suspension
BC Coilovers with 10kg front & 8kg rear springs. 30 way adjustable camber, bounce
Currently running -2* front with 60* shims in rear -1.5*
New N/S drive shaft
New N/S wheel bearing
New uprated heavy duty upper & lower swivel joints - June 2018
New uprated heavy duty lower ball joints - June 2018
Superpro Rear Antiroll Bar - August 2018

All the above has been carried out since July 2017 using New parts. The has been meticulously maintained to the highest level. I have probably missed stuff as the car wants for nothing.

Got a few new bits on the horizon to come soon.

After a just over a year of ownership many track days at Brands Hatch, 2 trips to Spa & 3 trips to Nurburgring I can truly say I love this car and it’s just epic on track!

I dont know much about the 250 exhaust routing / boxes. I know its a non standard system - are there any box changes?

Please stop making me want a 250. I also want a MK4 EDC, another Phase 1 21 Turbo and i'm trying to make progress on both project heaps too.

So a few updates. After a busy day in the workshop adding and upgrading parts,

Change F&R pads - RSL1 front, RSL29 rear
Brake fluid change - Castrol SRF
New fuel filter
Oil and filter service - Titan Pro 5-40
Fit Recirc Valve - Properfekt
Fit GT Performance turbo pipe
Redo shims
Fit Antirotation links
Fit Gearbox mount - Vibra Technic
Bleed clutch

Also fitted the ATS GTR wheels 17x9 et42
