Ride height

The standard ride height on our Clio's looks really good. But has anyone hankered after 1 cm more clearance for general road use? Any suggestions for how this could be done?

Oh many times I have asked about Scott about this, and if my coilovers go higher than standard, and air suspension conversion kits. Mostly his answer was "is that kettle boiled yet?" ;)

Nahhhhh low is best!

Looks looooow.....! What does it drive like?

It's transformed! Absolutely on rails through corners, it's been tried and tested on last years lakes and Scotland runs, and although when the road gets very lumpy it's wise to back off for fears of something catching, it never has.

On fast sweeping bends I always found the std suspension a bit unsettled, now it just grips and goes, there's a lot less weight transfer and pendulum effect.

With a fully sensible head on and to drive with carefree abandon, I'd raise it 15mm all round, but I can still hammer on as it is while it looks amazing so I'm happy :approve:

Does anyone on here have Intrax suspension and what is that like?

Actually while we're at it can we list the brand options of suspension upgrade?

And once again I put the call out there: Has anyone managed to lift their car by any wee amount?

The only option would be to have some custom springs made up which slightly raise it..

I'm sure all coilovers options will run slightly lower even at maximum height.

KW V3 yes, fitted them in May last year.

They were set-up at Revolution in Newcastle, top lads there. Although the rear toe is unchanged as they were seized solid!

OK Cool, the car looks amazing!!!

how do the guys set the car up? lots of adjustment on the damper and then with the suspension geometry it must be a minefield to get it first time?

Presumably you gave them a brief, as in fast road use, and i'm guessing you wanted the car lower for aesthetic reasons as much as the drive?

just intrigued as to how it works... especially with a car thats a little tricky in the handling department... :approve:
