Reverse light not coming on

So after finally getting the car back from its service and MOT, i have found that the reverse light is not coming on when reverse is selected, it does flash once first into reverse gear but then goes off straight away.

Most likely the switch/solenoid on gearbox. Just disconnect plug and short terminals and if lights operate it’s the switch.
I replaced mine last year, quite cheap part, but you will need deep socket, I think 17mm, to make fitment easier.

24mm socket, not 17mm, teach me to guess.
