Retro Rides Gathering 2022

Hello,

Retro Rides Gathering 2022 is less than a month away and we're working hard to make the most of the new venue and ensure everyone has a good time.

Track time applications for Sunday are now open. We'll once again be running point to point sprints, looks like it will be similar to our Goodwood event with an out lap, a hot lap and then a half lap in (due to the paddock entrance being at the back of the circuit). This should provide for great viewing, due to the nature of Mallory park, as well as fun to drive on.

You can do your entry here:
https://retroridesevents.azurewebsites.net/

We'll be collecting entries until a couple of weeks before the event. We try to ensure the track time is a diverse range of cars.

Cost will be £60 and we'll aim for at least 3 goes.

An exciting addition to the show this year is The Late Brake Show area. When they had to cancel their events for this year they approach us if we could maybe host an area with them. We jumped at it. Their philosophy and approach to stuff is very closely aligned with ours, so it made complete sense.

Expect to see a range of cars in their area including some stars of the Youtube show.

They have their own tickets which will give you the option to display with them, if you want to take this up, hit their social channels on Twitter and Instagram.

Our camping got to 95% sold out, but with the new camping space we have, we've added more to our facilities and opened up another 100 camping spots, when they are gone, they are gone.

You get TWO great events, Quick60 Challenge on Saturday, the competitive knockout format sprint and then the Gathering on Sunday. Plus the wonder that is the tat auction on Saturday evening, a bar and good times with friends.

We're still taking club bookings so if you are part of a club and fancy your own spot head to the events system: https://retroridesevents.azurewebsites.net/ and get your space. Or turn up in something pre-2000 and you'll be in the show area.

Expect another email from us soon (maybe the end of the week) with our guest cars for 2022 and some of the cars taking part in Quick60. It really is looking like a great line up for both events.

In the mean time, don't forget to get your tickets before they go up in price on 12th September.

Hope you are as excited as we are for what we can do this year.

Thank you for your club booking for RR Gathering

We're planning to have the passes emailed out to all the clubs by Wednesday. These can then be emailed/spread however you wish. They will need to be printed (on A4 preferably) and put in people's windscreens.
We can adjust numbers up until a few days before the event, but we'd really like to get some more accurate numbers now so we can start mapping out the event. You can log back in to adjust your booking, either adding more or reducing your numbers as needed

Don't forget everyone coming in needs a ticket, we'd really appreciate it if all the club attendees arrive with tickets as it keeps the traffic moving quicker. They can be purchased here: Retro Rides Gathering 2022 | TryBooking United Kingdom

We visited Mallory Park yesterday so we could measure the overall space we have for clubs and it reminded us how great this is going to be, you can see the track from the club area, the paddock, trade, food, clubs, retro parking and best viewing spots are all a very short (and easy) walk from each other. We've also got room to expand and make more of the venue over the years. We're very excited!

The maxi rep is a friend of mine. Wayne’s a local lad from derby, that kit he put on his Williams is from a place in Poland. Said it was a pig to sort out! The k20 conversion was easy as there kits ready available. Also them wheels are proper prima’s. I’m gunna try get him out to more events as his mates just bought a 5 and wants me to help him do the F4R conversion like mine.
