Requesting Real World Data of Phase 1 Clio V6 for Driving Simulator

Hey,

So I joined this forum yesterday because I'm working on a Phase 1 Clio V6 for a driving/racing simulator known as Assetto Corsa. It's just a personal hobby project I've been working on in my spare time. But in order to complete it I need help obtaining some accurate, real world data. This would go a long way to hopefully making the car feel accurate to the real thing.

More specifically, I would need:
- Spring/damper coefficient specifications, wheelrates
- Dimensions of chassis/frame and subframe and suspension system components like struts, control arms, ARBs dimensions and wheelrates
- Gear ratios that were in the PK6 gearbox for the Phase 1? (I managed to find it in the gearbox pdf but it's not in decimal form and am unsure of how to calculate it)
- Any other data that might be pertinent to the handling characteristics/dynamics of the car

I have looked at the Reference Guides & Manuals pdfs provided here however found that they don't have accurate measurements I've tried aligning and scaling the technical drawings in these pdfs such as the front and rear axle struts with little success.

If you have a V6 Phase 1 (or Phase 2 if it also has similar geometry) and/or if you know where to find a complete diagram of the suspension geometry/components with measurements, please let me know! Even though I don't own a v6, or even a Clio, I'm really keen on nerding out about these cool and quirky cars.

Here are some images of it so far! (Imgur)

Hope this is appropriate for the forum, it's a bit out there. Hope you're all in good health!

For ultimate realism you can ignore all of the above and just make sure it's going backwards towards the wall/armco/another car as soon as the player presses the accelerator

Firstly, well done on taking this on...especially since you don't own a Clio V6 - have you driven one?

I will have a look in my archives re the info you are looking for...

Questions:
1. Are you looking only the Phase 1 only? having owned a Phase 2 for a while now, I would be better placed to help you out with its technical details.
2. Is this a hobby project or is it being undertaken as part of a commercial venture?

So, I haven't driven one unfortunately. It's a bit of a grey area when you haven't felt how something drives before and you're also trying to make something like it in virtual reality to feel realistic.

To answer your first question, I'm looking for data on the Phase 1. But if the Phase 2 has the same suspension setup it could still be very helpful. I'm just not sure on what Renault changed besides tyres, wheels, weight and chassis and engine tuning.

For your second question, the car is just a personal hobby project of mine at the moment! The 3d modelling I've done, and the last month I've worked on it I can claim but for the base, laser scanned model itself is not mine. I don't really feel comfortable making something like that commercial.

I would really appreciate anything you can find in those archives you have as well!

Great sim project to undertake, good effort :salut:

To get the ball rolling, here are the Phase 1 V6 gear ratios in numerical form

1st 3.909
2nd 2.105
3rd 1.482
4th 1.102
5th 0.897
6th 0.756
Reverse 1.740
Final drive 3.764
