Renault Clio V6 Airbox MK2 - RPD have got this in stock for £127.87

Mine arrived yesterday, and it does include the filter as well. [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]

Never knew the filters were that expensive - [v6plaque]002[/v6plaque] had a Pipercross Viper installed when I purchased it, but fortunately has the OEM Air Box bracket still in place, so may give this a try.

Induction noise, weight and cost of replacement filters were the main reason most people switched.

A non-disposable OE spec filter panel became available later which might have lead to more folk keeping the original housing.

Thanks, Kett.

How do I recognise a "non-disposable OE spec filter panel" when I see one - do you have a photograph?

These were the ones I was thinking of. Seem to be at bargain price too. I’m pretty sure that ITG filters can be cleaned with the correct product.

Check out the panel size!!!! Weird city!!!!

I haven’t done my Ph1 vs Ph2 homework here but assume they’re the same.
Thanks - I think that is the correct size when compared to the equivalent Mahler product, but will compare with the measurements of the filter supplied with the air box: Mahle Air Filter LX1052 (Renault Clio V6)

Also, noticed that Pipercross too do a reusable panel filter, so seem like there are a few options: RENAULT CLIO MK2 - PIPERCROSS AIR FILTER ELEMENT - RENAULT SPORT V6 - 255PS (2002 TO 2005)
- Directly replaces the air filter in your airbox
- 30% more airflow over a standard paper air filter
- Easy cleaning, no dirt caught like with V shaped filter grooves
- Bench tested for improved fuel economy, power and torque outputs
- Lifetime warranty on all replacement and performance road use filters.

RPD now out of stock. Doubt they’re going to restock either.
Only 10 were in stock when I got the 'back in stock' notification. I cannot remember when I set up the request, but if you are looking to get one add your email address and you will get notified, if, and when, they are back in stock.

I've had a Green element in my oem airbox since it's first service in 2004, washable filter. Ph1 and Ph2 have different size.

Thanks - these ones? Green Air Filters

It seems like these also need to be re-oiled like the Pipercross, ITG etc.

Yes thats the ones clean and re-oil. I've had trouble in the past with the foam type of filter breaking down and being inducted.
