Can anyone help?

Im in the process of doing a restoration on a Renault 5 GT Turbo Raider edition. I believe this model came with a PLIP key and an alarm from the factory. I have located and bought the correct PLIP key however I cannot find the alarm, or any info about it.

Does anyone know the part number for it, or what brand it is, or even better have one for sale? Was the alarm the same fitted across the Renault range at the time?

Thanks in advance

Hi, Mate.

Its made by Gamma. I found one a wile ago on ebay and jumped on it sharpish.
It was screwed to the underside / back of the fuse box.
You may find that there are holes in there where it once was fitted on your raider. I say that because i found holes in mine when i came to fit it.
It connected to the wiring loom on the back of the central locking switch under the radio, among other places.
It must have been fitted after the stock wiring looms were installed as when i came to fit mine there were after market connections that had been used, everywhere i needed to connect it in.
I do have written instructions somewhere that the guy supplied when i brought it. I will dig them out in case you ever need them. Fingers crossed.

This is the picture i have of when i brought it on Ebay.

Barry, I have a brand new one of these alarms in the renault box!
Does it just use the original remotes for the central locking? I didn't realise it was suitable for the 5 turbo, I'm guessing it was a optional extra as its a renault boutique box.

I've never actually ever opened the box and thought it was worthless!

How much do you want for it????? 😉

Yeah my alarm has 2 boxes. They were fitted to the rear of the fuse box. I wonder back in the day, how many were ripped out and binned for "after market" replacements.

So you can still buy the alarm that you have? Right.

Ibby12 - that's the answer for you, dude!
