has anyone had there vee remapped, if so where?? and wht was the cost, what improvments did you have and most of all what problems did it create

i want to get mine done but wanted to speak to someone who has already had it done.

thanks for your help guys

I had an RSTuning remap (they are based in Leeds) which was on a group buy arranged by Peter255 on v6clio.net.
Small gains on pick up were definitely noticeable, and fuel consumption seemed to be marginally better (surprisingly).
If you're going to keep the car fairly standard it's a worthwhile exercise. :approve:

Try a "search forum" to read all about it...

More complicated engine work will need a bespoke re-map (eg motec) and might involve a second mortgage.

i am from the midlands and a company round here says they can get a 15% increase, so u are looking at 38 bhp more.

I believe Superchips "claim" +10 bhp

Speak to RS Tuning before you proceed. Would be interesting to see what an exhaust and IK really achieves.

Remapping can't be done off the shelf, you need the car to do it properly. Most of the times those companies just fool the temperature sensor, and make the throttle body more agressive in opening.
Ask them first if they guarantee the poweroutput and that you will check it after installation. I guess they will back off.
I got mine done with the group buy, (I sent in my ECU) after it had been done on rolling road.

Aye the old temperature sensor trick - very 1980's [smilie=bowdown.gif] Can even be done for free with a resistor or var-resistor
