Recaro pole positions custom retrim

So I have just returned home from a 466 mile journey in the twingo (jeeez that car was not designed for road trips lol) and picked up my seats today from capital seating...

Im afraid I need convincing guys!!!! the leather is spot on, looks and feels sumptuous and smells great! My first initial dread was I should have went for a brighter red for the embroidered logos... In the sun it almost looks pinky purpley red but it looks better indoors and in natural daylight,

I'll let the pics do the talking, not fitted them yet as I'm fooked from the drive and the early start lol :rollseyes:

They do look good Colin and good on you for embarking on this, couple of small comments ...

The Renault Sport logo doesn't look horizontal but it could be just the cover needs adjusting slightly as the seam is sitting slightly differently on the left side.

You make a good point about the colour but remember the Red is the theme for your car and a little understated detailing is often more than in-your-face ... I am a fan of the Renault Sport yellow/grey for example but that wouldn't have looked right given the theme you have going on and it would have been too bright ... I think the outcome is therefore spot on ...

That was exactly why i started this project, I would open the door and theres a huge white recaro logo across the seats, and a huge black one on the sidemounts...it just didnt look very OEM at all, Plus...the shiny vinyl effect leather wasnt what i was looking for either, although you can have new covers made in that material and embroidered if you chose to (it would be cheaper)

The total cost for the re-trim and embroidery was £504 inc vat, I removed the covers myself and posted them down (£40 fully insured) and chose my colour and logos, and headed down with the seats to have them fitted up

Colin, just had an idea mate....
Pull the sunvisor down thats been trimmed in Alcantara, then in the bottom corner have the RS logo printed on it to match your seats.

What you think that would look like?
