Rear window heating elements.

I noticed that 2 of the bars weren't working the other day.
TBH as the Vee only gets summer use - I've got no idea how long they've been like that.

Can these be repaired?

I think these are screen printed on the glass, if so yes, you can buy a repair paint and join the broken bits together, if they are embedded in the glass like heated screens then no.

How on earth did you come to find this out? lol In my 7/8 years of ownership, I've not once pushed that button on the dash...

Ah so that's what that switch is for!

Similar to MattG I think I only ever used the rear window switch when I had my MK 1, used that car more often in all sorts of weathers.

Mine's got a 3000cc demister fitted, yours must be a lower spec car.
