Rear wheel bearings

has anyone had one go? I have a "crackly rattly metallic sound" from the nearside rear when pulling away - there is a small amount of play in tthe wheel also. It all points to a failed wheel bearing- at 38,000 too [smilie=evil.gif]
Does anyone have the dimensions of the bearing at all? I can get SKF bearings from work and probably a lot chaper than Renault - even the renault part number could be useful...

I've replaced one, I got it from a parts suplier, so shouldn't be too big of a problem.

Do you have a part number for it or a supplier code?
Was it an SKF unit by any chance? I Think most are...

on my old mk1...a stub axle needed tightened at 18000 miles...it made a creaky rattly sound

they fixed it anyways!!

Just for reference I've managed to get theSKF part number for the Rear V6 Mk2 fitment it is VKBA 3608
SKF are the best bearings in my humble....
Still trying to get the front info though
Anyone have the renault part number?
