Rear spoiler catching roof line!

Anyone encoutered this when opening and closing the boot? It happened to me yesterday, I heard a click and wandered what it was then I seen the back of the roof spoiler catch the roofline.

haven't opened the boot since, so I'm going to take it into Renault asap, just wanted to know if its a common problem or my boot is not lined up properly.

Did you fit a MK2 spoiler on a MK1?

MK2 bootlids have shorter struts so the spoiler doesn't catch...

No, its an 05 plate car.

No idea then......gas in struts gone maybe?

as far as i know, the mk1 and mk2 boot struts are only shorter becuase of the rear mounted ariel, neither version should catch the roofline

Wrong or nackered struts.
