Rear bulb for plate not working!!!

Hi all, when i was detailing the car last week i removed the rear lens on the bumper with illuminates the plate. Was working fine, so cleaned the lens area out fitted back on fine. Just noticed last night that it was not on when lights were on. So removed the bulb and repalced, cleaned the terminals and still not working. Checked all fuses and they are all perfrect. Any ideas please...also wiring looks normal and clean...Thanks Daz

Crap connection to be honest....so gave it a little modification for better connection, worked straight away.

I've had exactly the same problem with mine - the connections are open to the elements aren't they, gave mine a bit of a rub down with some emery paper and worked like a dream - you'd think they'd have come up with a better design for the connection by now though wouldn't you, I remember having the same problem with my saxo many years ago.

You can get stopped by the police for not having your plate lit up too can't you, but who really checks the bulb is working on a regular basis, I know its something I never think to do!
