Rear brakes

Where do you guys buy rear brake discs?

They are the same part on the Phase 1 and 2.

Renault part number: 6020 013 025
AP racing was the original supplier with part number: CP4456-102P 300x24mm

APEC has one set in stock according their website but export/import to the EU will take alot of time and money.
I checked the Citroen brake kits but only the XM caliper fits. Not the discs.

Are there other brands?

It’s got to be APEC… surely they’re capable of exporting without silly costs?

I found a pair new old stock AP racing at Veban Motorsport.
It passed the MOT again. Two new catalyzers, new AP racing discs and red stuff brake pads all around, XM calipers on the back, rear pilot sport 4 and the fun can continue! [cmilie=iconcheers.gif] [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]
The PS5 tyre is not available in the phase 1 size (hopefully yet).

I will contact Apec and Tarox and see if they can do a batch of new discs and send them over to the EU for resale at Veban.

Maybe it is nice to add the following about the rear brakes into the knowledge base.
There is some info on the forum but not with all part numbers etc.

Phase I and Phase II have the exact same brake calipers, discs, pads on the back.

The calipers originate from the Citroen XM & Xantia from 1989-1998 and are a direct swap onto the Clio V6.
The OEM piston diameter is 57mm.

Rear brake caliper left side OEM part: 60 00 009 362
Citroen part: 4400.H3 or 95 659 637

Alternative brands left rear
ABS part: 629701
TRW part: BHX178E
Bosch part: CR1075

Rear brake caliper rigth side OEM part: 60 00 009 361
Citroen part: 4400.H4 or 95 659 638

Alternative brands rigth rear
ABS part: 629702
TRW part: BHX179E

They were delivered to Renault by APEC racing with part number: CP4456-102P 300x24mm
No supplier known at the moment. (13-June-2023)

Thanks Adrian, I’ve updated the KB to include this information (and made the formatting generally better).

2 questions though….i thought the callipers were the same as the Citroen XM, but required a small bit of machining/modification, can anyone confirm?

Secondly, I’m pretty sure there is a known source for rear brake discs, its APEC DSK 2845?

-They do not need machining or modifications. It is a direct fit from the box. As mentioned earlier they fit the XM and Xantia 2.0L and 3.0L models from 1989-1998.

-Correct there is also an Apec disc with part number DSK 2845 for the rear. However I cannot find any stock of it in the EU in the last year or longer. Two webshops in the UK state they have 1 in stock. Availability limited, if any.
OEM supplier MAT EURAC PDC delivered the rear discs to Renault with their part number: PDC 3KY RP4456-1C

Anyone know the Ferodo DS2500 part number for the rear brake pads? Would be nice to add as well.
I found alot of statements on the forum that people running DS2500 all around but not a single part number for the rear brakes is stated. Only front part numbers.

More additions. The rear brake discs were also delivered by AP racing with part number: CP4456-102P

These have same diameter piston as the Vee at 57mm but be aware Citroen uses its own hydraulic fluid and if the callipers come with green Citroen seals, these need to be changed to black conventional seals, Bigredd are a safe bet to know exactly what you need, they have experience of these callipers!
