Good luck with that screwdriver idea?????? i tried it and thought that i liked the skin on my knuckles more lol.
Wilco do one that is a circular design that clamps inside and both piston and caliper with a thread so you then use a ratchet to rewind it ... simples... only cost about £12. worth every penny!!!!!!

The renault Spider uses the same brake calliper as the Clio rear, the official service manual for that car states " use a square section screwdriver"
I have a universal Renault wind back tool but the pins only just locate in the vee's piston making it a very hit and miss operation.
Twice I have would back and cound no handbrake operation after doing so, one I managed to fix by forscing the piston out a bit and winding back again but on one I needed a new calliper.
A socket with a couple of 'wings', made out of flat bar, welded onto it would be my DIY tool or alternatively the same made with some tube and a nut welded onto the top for a spanner/socket to turn it :approve:
I have to admit that I used a screw-driver though ...
Very good of you to do that and excellent for the knowledge base. Unfortunately it was a day late as I did it on Saturday! Real pain to wind all the way back but got there in the end!
