Funnily enough I did my rear and front pads today! You can use the flat bit of a screwdriver for the rear caliper piston, or make up a tool with bits of metal plating. The piston has four indents in which you can lever at. It's fairly easy once you've found the right size flat headed screwdriver.
The piston needs to be turned clockwise to wind it back in (from experience!!!)
The caliper is held in by a pin at the bottom and pivots up. The hardest part was getting the wheels off which had corroded onto the hubs! some sledgehammer work was needed!!
