Rattle from cam belt area?

Bra strap is all I can think of, or stone in disc or plate rattling.

Nothing to worry about.

:) :)

For sure? I'd best have the rear wheel off then and have a look!
Thanks :D

Update**

Fixed it with a kebab skewer :D Thought I'd have a poke around this morning and definately narrowed the noise down the the pulleys. I thought that if I got a long skewer and tounched it onto the rims of the pulleys then it would show up any movement or rattle.

The first one was fine but on the second one when I touched the rim of it I heard the ticking noise for about 3 seconds then something flicked off.

I'm guessing that a piece of grit got flicked up and because of all the hot weather it stuck to the edge of the pulley due to tar. Everytime the pulley rotated the little piece of grit would flick the belt!! And that was the noise. Had a look at the belt and it looks fine.

Thanks for the help chaps.

You mean you've intentionally removed the pulley wheel counter weight . The whole car will shake itself to pieces now :(.

Carefull poking anything near moving pulleys guys! I've seen the aftermath of one horrific garage accident with hands and spinning things that i'd not wish on anyone! :(

I would second that. I was VERY careful not to do any damage to myself or the car (especially the cam belt). I have a feeling Renault may have been a bit twitchy over a warranty claim that involved a shredded cambelt and a kebab skewer.
