Megane R26 - Brakes Died!

Well not quite, but the pedal went soft and got uber fade. Pedal doesn't seem to be coming back though.

Could it be as simple as just being the pads? Had the brake fluid and braided lines changed recently (only driven twice since changing!) and can't see any signs of leaks etc.
The pads haven't been changed since I bought the car, so i've literally no idea whats on there. could be cheapo things in all honesty so I'm going get get pads all round anyway.

Either that or could there be a bit of air in the system still?

What fluid is in there currently ? I would bleed the brakes again and go from there

RBF600 in there now!
Bought too much so fair bit left, will give them a bleed next weekend.

While on the subject, whats best to clean up the brakes? Just general brake cleaner?
Get a ticking from somewhere under braking so wondering if something is sticking.
