quadra

Depends how lazy you are.

I fitted some to Johnspins car the other week. We had to redrill a hole for one retaining screw and countersink it to hold the disc in place as the hub center is smaller on the Quadra, and you need to shave a bit off the hanger or space the caliper out from the mount a fraction (only a fraction) but you can get away with just doing that pretty much. It's not hard.

Can anyone shed any light on whats been done on this quadra, engine? ecu? turbo?

Don't know exactly bud, one of the longer term members may be able to help you out. Roger Hewitt built it I believe. Think it has a chipped ECU, Cosworth fuel regulator, induction kit, exhaust, dump valve, silicon boost hoses.

it's got a cam in it, it did have both intercooler changed as well, all boost and water hoses are silicon, i put std turbo back on it cause big one i had on it there was too much lag. scorpian exhaust with 4" tail pipe. like i say this was on it when it was sold but unsure what is on it now

cheers for the info guys, i will be picking it up next weekend so in a couple of weeks time there will be a red quadra shell going for free if anyone wants one.

Got the car back last saturday, bumper's repaired in carbon kevlar so should take a few knocks without cracking up, it has got a few little dings in it but a dent specialist can get them out cos the paint's not cracked.
The car wouldn't start so gave the solenoid a whack with a lump hammer and she sprang into life after 2 years sitting there, changed all the oils and filters, skimed the discs and put new pads in all round, ripped all the ****ty alarm out and rebuilt the harness under the dash, the standard remote locking still works along with all the electric goodies (diff, windows, sunroof, fans,).
Going for MOT on tuesday, everything works but its rich at idle so will have to see what happens.
Would put some pics up but my pc has melted and will only run in safe mode with networking, will try to sort something out latr on today.

Good stuff Chris..... wasn't sure if you'd picked her up or not........so is the plan to make a "choice" one out of the two.....??? i thought your red quadra was really clean.....??

The red one is pretty good, thats why its ideal for spares, i know everything works so all that the parts that come off want is a lick of paint and i'll have a full compliment of back up parts (driveshafts, diff, gearbox, panels, doors, wings, engine and loads more)

Postponed the MOT for now, got a huge front mount from a guy at work so gonna do some mods to get it to fit, might have to ditch the two fans and go for a single on the rear of the rad and carve the metal work about a bit but it will go on.
The prima bumper is ideal for it and it would be a shame to not use the space for something.
