Quadra box crunch

grrr I seem to have a second gear crunch curse!
Whenever I change quickly from 1st to 2nd I get a crunch, but I can change briskly and it will be fine but when giving it a good launch it happens..

I can only assume it would get worse the more I crunch it, rebuild/refurb time? Stu Harding? Whats the pricing like for that sort of thing assuming its just second gear that needs looking at..

I just changed the oil yesterday to the correct stuff that Dave supplies and it is definitely a lot smoother now but as I said the crunch is still there..

The box will eventually need to come out when I swap over to my rebuilt engine as the gearbox mounts are shot too.. I have a spare subframe which I will have blasted a repainted and then rebushed.

Dan, try adding "molyslip" this solved a 2nd gear crunch on my previous phase 1 - could be worth a go.....

hmm yeah but no, dont really like "masking" the problem, although it may stop it, the wearing surfaces/issue are still there... also not to keen on contaminating my fresh gb oil lol

will consider it if nothing else is suggested.
