Reluctantly I really ought to pass on my 1989 Mk1 Peugoet 405 Estate.
Its just to heavy to cope with due to health issues, else I would keep it forever.
Runs happily on properly dewatered and filtered WVO, I have quite a bit ready I wont be needing...
120000 miles, (oil change due in about 2000)
MOT till end of MAY 2020
1900 XUD Diesel
5 speed manual transmission
Aztec gold
No turbo, no PAS, quite unusual.
Not rotten, genuine solid car.
All tires excellent with little wear.
Roof liner missing
Trim is worn
Drivers interior door handle is lost somewhere in the house
Cosmetically it is not new, but still looks the part at a short distance, and far better than all the plastic crap churned out today.
Divvy's hitting the left side in the car park made me weep salty tears, I still haven't found who did it yet
Makes a great camping car, I have a bed in it right now...
I have spare lights, front wings, injection pump and other parts. I have a new heater blower that needs installing (awkward but straightforward), a new brake servo booster ready to fit (with gasket).
All the brake friction has been replaced, exchanged calipers, exchanged rear beam fitted, brake lines renewed throughout, new brake vacuum pump and hose fitted, exchanged alternator and belts, battery one year old, new clutch in now bedded in, new matching bronze windscreen, all wheel bearings replaced, I have new old stock front dampers ready to be fitted, cam belt probably done about 20000.
Complete new exhaust.
Had to make heater core pipes from bits due to odd sizes, looks weird works fine.
I have probably forgotten something, will add as I remember.
I hope someone takes an interest as its far to good to scrap.
Will add pictures later.
Viewing is in south Norfolk, PM for details.
