i went to the scrapyard today with my brother for some bits and asked if they had any cars for sale and the owner told me about an M plate 106 ski he had, so i went and had a look at it and started it up and it ran fine so i agreed £275 for it delivered
havent got any pictures of it as i didnt bring my phone but it basically looks like this

i56.tinypic.com_2euscqp.webp
i56.tinypic.com_zkhkle.webp
i55.tinypic.com_2wfpend.webp

it hasnt been deliverd yet and ive already bought somthing for it:palm:
its a blue carpet out of the kid version only cost £5 and it looks brand new :D
i52.tinypic.com_96ayab.webp
i56.tinypic.com_282jhfo.webp

well happy with it but it did need a clean due to being sat out in all weathers for at least 4 years as it was there when my brother had his 106 back in 2006:eek:

the car has 130,000 miles on it but it runs sweet as a nut with no overheating or hunting and no smoke out the back and it drives nice and straight not sure it would need much for the mot but if it does its bound to be cheap on one of these :D

the owner of the scrappy said he was going to put it on the pile tommorow as he had had no interest in it and i just couldent see it get put to waste like that :)

i will upload pictures of it tommorow when it gets deliverd

[BREAK=Its home :D]

right finally some pictures of the ski:D

fresh from the scrapyard

i55.tinypic.com_14ob2af.webp
i55.tinypic.com_ngaoax.webp
i51.tinypic.com_14ilz50.webp

plans are to fix the dent on the side and detail the car and put it through an mot, then sell it on for a profit :D

well happy with it, it appears to be slightly darker but the car is a bit dirty and sanding dust all over it so when clean should all match :)

What's wrong with it then?

I mean cars dont normally get left stood at scrapyards for 4 years if there's nothing wrong with them.

sorry bit of a type error:roll:
the carpet was out of a car that has been there for at least 4 years, the ski has been there around 3 months in the "classic car section" lol all thats wrong with it is a wiper blade a bit of rot and rear drivers brake binding acording to the mot it was sent in for back in october, but it has only done 2 miles since then so shouldent be much more than that.:D

plans are to fix the dent on the side and detail the car and put it through an mot, then sell it on for a profit

best add welding to that then

oh yeah and welding lol, thats proberably going to be the hardest job on this car as its a suspention mounting and its on the exhaust side :(

Looks 8) mate.

I had a mint little AX, same engine / 3 studs, etc...

1995 iirc, but 35k from new, one owner, mint bodywork and interior.

Bought it for £100, put £200 into it (new rad, full service, etc) and sold it for £600! :o:D

Wish they were all that easy.

whoa nice profit there then:D
i do like the AX's the GT500s my favorite :) rare to see them these days though:(

no didnt blow any holes in it, was quite a thick wing to be hones and the metal that was left on the car was quite thick too so got a nice strong weld, but not pretty lol

well done mate , i welded cars wen i was young with a arc welder , very unsucesfully lol, invest in a mig , best thing i ever brought.

my brother has one of them which i was origionally planning on using but it has ran out of wire and its somthing like £25 for new wire so i though id brake out the arc lol :D

i used to have a little mig but it was a pain in the arse, bought a bigger one about 12 months ago, bought a masive reel of wire and bottle of c02, so i know i can go to it and use it , idealy i needed argon mix but didnt want to py the rental costs on the bottle
