Power Figures from the RR day

your car my have only gained 2 bhp but what are the torque figures from the two rolling road sessions, its this figure thats more important because the more torque you have the faster the car will accelerate.

AEI

The AEI unit runs the car according to the parameters defined by the information it recieves from various slave components, (ie sensors).
When one of these components breaks/malfunctions the AEI (usually) realises this and reverts back to a default mode where it takes a mean reading of information stored from that component.

Thats why they can run rubbish when there is a sensor out, but on the other hand can run reasonably well, It depends on how often you reset the system (disconnect the battery for a while). I was running with 2 sensors out for a while and didnt notice a change really, only found out when I ran it through a diagnostic. Also I drive the same all the time (boost it everywhere LOL)
SO, if you drive like a girl and it has a fault pop up, then you RR it that could explain crap power.
Anyone know a RR centre with an XR25 or Snapon terminal? :D

is there no procedure for removing and testing the sensors that us mere mortals can do?

yes and no you need a good multi meter and the paramiters of the sensors you want to test but still not a 100% way of testing

i know where ......

i can get my car tested on an XR25 my local reno specialist has one Alpine reno racing
