I dont see why any v6 owners would want to buy a plaque that they already have? Unless there car has been previously damaged and is missing the plaque, or it has been previously owned by some pikey who has taken it off to sell on ebay. And in either of these scenarios is it possible for the new owners to find out 100% what number their car was? If not we are going to end up with a load of duplicates which cant be good for the v6 community!!!!

I can see it now - 2 years time you go to the classifieds on pistonheads to check out the v6's for sale.........and there are 4 cars with a massively inflated asking price claiming to be #0001. Oh dear.

Good idea. the guy with the fake liquid yellow could be 0019!!

This is not joke thread if you follow the posts in the forum there has been lots of members saying that the Renault UK plaque looks rubbish and the original french alloy plaques are much better looking.

Yes some people want 3 so 2 can get put on the rear engine cover, on either side I presume.

I will only supply club members with plaques numbered the same as there current car, I sure James will help me confirm the car number is correct.

Me I do what I want with my car, I dont need your permission or approval, nor do I care what think, If you dont want a better quality plaque for your car, go post elsewere.

Sorry Steve wasn't meant to offend. It was a genuine question i asked about why some people would want 3.
Glad you've managed to source someone to make them as I'm sure many members will be interested.

Steve, put me down for 3 please :approve:
Personally I would like them in alloy to keep the OEM look.
Thanks Phil
PS for all thoes wondering why anyone would want them is one for the 'carbon look' console I have in the car, one for the otto model I have on display and the third would be a spare.

I think Steve has made his point before about some validation of plaque numbers as they are produced and you have to commend him for that :approve:

Other than that though, I don't think any genuine enthusiast will be fooled if someone tries to spoof the a cars number. Anyone will expect that you can authenticate a car number or show the original plaque at sale if it is replaced with an alternate one. Those without thier original plaque should be able to explain why they don't have it or the car doesn't have one - it's just about honesty of owners as individuals and nothing to do with whether someone facilitates getting some more aesthetic plaques made.

Personally I will NEVER take my manky rubber plaque off the centre console but see no reason why people shouldn't swap it on thier own car or add plaques to engine covers, dashboard etc.
