PiperCross Filter Installation

Thanks to Tim (TRW1) Jainy had a new PiperCross filter which needed fitting. Guess who did it ? LOL

Well I have created a Wiki which I will continue to update ...

[smilie=right1.gif] http://www.v6clio.net/wiki/index.php?ti ... Air_Filter

Essentially it is a simple enough job which does not require many tools. Removing the full set of upper engine covers is pretty straightforward and really exposes the engine to make it easier to work on ;-)

The PiperCross filter is a direct replacement for the OEM air box and so makes use of the existing induction pipes and bracket, so that's nice ...

Excellent Wiki entry! More importantly, how does it sound? I lent over to my passenger side airvent today and rev'd the car (bit of contortion involved). It's the first time I've actually hard mine and it sounded excellent!

Sure we'll here you coming on Saturday now, Jainy!!

4. Keep all left over screws and bolts in a safe place. ;)

Yes James old jam jars are ideal for this :approve: Though for any left over engine bits a big box is better :D

Hey that reminds me I seem to be lumbered with a huge OEM air filter box [smilie=no3.gif] Anyone need one, one careful lady owner - yeh right [smilie=hide.gif]
