When I drive the car past 3900 revs the car makes a squeeking pinking upset bearing like noise, not overly loud but its always there! the noise sounds like its coming from the o/s rear of the engine bay and possibly the top end?
Renault here it but don't know what or where its coming from and now say that mebbe it is'nt a fault, however the car never used to make the noise.
I run on V power always and the noise happens when the car is under load not on idle, also the noise occurs under light and heavy acceleration in any gear at the same revs, not just if you have it nailed in a high gear. Once the engine has surpassed 4100 the noise stops.
Obviously I'm concerned the car could be pinking but I would have thought that its unlikely just at one small rev area and under any small load in any gear, I don't know and just wonder if any of the guru's on here have heard what I'm poorly trying to describe?
