How not to time an F4R engine! This clio 182 has been freshly rebuilt by somewhere and came for mapping, it made 150hp with very little torque on the stock map so it was time to investigate!
Both cams are massively retarded so we needed to strip it further to correct, the main tensioner tab had been squashed so this could have backed off at any point! The exhaust cam seal is pushed right to the back which should be just proud of the face, as you can see they've used normal RTV to seal the cam box which is totally wrong as it can block the oil gallery's!
Hopefully there's more success when it goes back on the Dyno Dynamics next week!
