Photo upload advice

Can someone refer me to a post explaining how to upload photos. I have saved some images in Image shack, but when i copy the URL into the Img it simply copies this URL onto the draft without the actual photo. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

You can use the 'Img' Button which is located above the forum response input box or just copy the code below (and paste in your real URL)

Sorry to be boring. May I explain what I've done so someone can correct me.

I wrote my text, then clicked on "Img". Then I copied and pasted the web address URL from my Imageshack picture into the "Img" box.
All this did was put the URL of the picture in blue type in my topic draft and preview of the post. It didn't allow me to see the actual picture.

So I'm wondering does the actual picture appear when i post the topic even though I can't see it in the preview? Or is there something I'm missing here?

Sounds like you are doing it right... you should be able to see the photo at the preview stage. Are you pasting a full URL in, including the http?

This is one of the photo links I'm trying to post. I can't see it at preview stage. I tried James' suggestion but it made no difference. I must be doing something wrong.

Ok I have looked at this problem now. Imageshack are not being very helpful in allowing people to post images.

The only way I managed to do it was by clicking on your picture then right clicking on it and choosing Copy Image Location.

Then click our Img button and paste the URL.

Would be quicker just to upload your pics into our own gallery LINK
