Use correct alloy wheel bolts and plenty of anti-seize grease , I only JUST got mine off the rear with a 3ft Snap-On bar at shoulder height ...
There's no way you could have tightened these bolts this much ... I suspect the spacer bedding in and the torque of the engine had tightened the bolts.I've snapped a few off in my day and it's not fun! So beware!
... Every 200 miles or so (for the first 3 or 4) loosen the bolts and re-torque them correctly and after this if you remove the wheels/spacers make sure they go back in exactly the same position as they came off
(some might say this is unecessary ... but anything not to snap a bolt ... if it snaps with a wrench you'd have to drill and rethread and I don't think this is acceptable with 250bhp and spacers)
I suspect the dog'bollocks bolts and perfect fit (fill the hub/colour coded) spacers will be most expensive , but it's on my list !

I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY LOCKING NUTS ON THE REAR ....if the bolts do seize , any locking nut would disintergrate under the force that I had to applyto remove it.

The 18's look brilliant and do improve the handling (from my point of view(and usage) , but i understand why others would say stick to the 17's for more fun)

Don't everyone sell their 17's on ebay at once as it will lower their value ...

Now ,does anybody want to buy a set of 17's? very good condition...haha

yeah , should hyave put mine back on when it went in for servicing ... i just knew one of those muppets would drop one of my perfect 18" 's FACE DOWN and they did !
