i no a few people have done this. is there any problems when fitted (does it effect hadling etc) , mine is lowered will it be worth doing? plus am i right in saying they are 18'' OZ superturismo's??

Fronts fit lovely - fill the arches right up.

Rears you will need a 10mm hubcentric spacer, due to the phase 2 offset, pushing the wheel into the hub and fouling it.

I have 15mm spacers on the rear from Scott at SG motorsport, i'm going for the same set up as simon, 225/35's on the front and 265/35's on the rear. Works out to nearly the same rolling diameter.

My wife turned up at home with my wheels, brand new and all boxed up :) :)

Sorry to bring this back up again, but can anyone provide an article on exactly what is needed in terms of spacers and bolts to put 18" MK 2 wheels on a MK 1.

I will have it added to our Knowledge Base.

Thank you

Unless someone beats me to it I can do this James.

Changing to PH2 wheels Feb time.

Might want to drop Jamie in Carlisle a PM (If he's still on here) as he's the most recent to have swapped over before he sold his vee. May be able to offer some pointers.

Pics and full write-up will follow when I actually make the change.

From what I've worked out so far...

Needed:
Ph2 Alloys - Front: 7x18 in, Rear: 8.5x18 in
Ph2 tyres - Front: 205/40 ZR 18, Rear: 245/40 ZR 18

Fronts are a straight swap. Bolts and all.

Rears will need hubcentric spacers. 20mm fills the arches but 15mm will suffice. I’ve heard the wheels may still foul if it’s 10mm or smaller (happy to be proved wrong here) I’m personally going for the 20mm spacer as I like the wider stance look.

Enough 45mm bolts to fit both rear wheels. Couple of longer locking wheel bolts if you have a lot of magpies living near...

Full geo set up

Stand back and admire :approve: :)

17s caps are slightly smaller from reading older posts so MK 2 caps would be needed.

Of course there's a slightly larger price tag to suit lol

Ouch. Although at least we can see the amazing deal we are getting on our 18's. Floor matt's look good too, but pricey.

I took my old wheel caps from the 17's and put them on the 18's with no problems, none have come off and there a perpect fit.

This was the best mod i've done to the Vee, transformed the handling and made it more stable at speed/cornering.
