Phase 2 on 3k Miles £22k

I am with Chris too on his comments and about ID colours ... for me there IS a difference between unique/different and desirable and that is where I sit on some ID colours ... to me they are special but not desirable so I wouldn't pay anymore unless I was an investor who thought they were worth a premium ... that can be said for any colour though - for example I cannot for the life of me see why people buy copper or champagne coloured cars :rofl: and many won't touch black cars, yet I love em ...

I also turned my nose up at a desirable low mileage one owner S3 before I bought my current one - one of the main reasons being something as simple as the fact that the second key and spare master key had been lost - this indicated to me some ownership apathy which put me off ... so I am sure we have widely different selection criteria and ultra low milage certainly isn't the be-all and end-all ...

Now it just makes you wonder how quickly he needs to sell??

Ive thought this many a time, all it will take is a small amount of people to advertise at a high price then people will start to get the impression thats the going price.

How much were the V6 brand new?

That's understandable, I mean if a new Clio v6 were made now, it would probably retail at around the £35k mark..

With yours they are getting a brand new v6 albeit without warranty, for £26k

I agree that the money is out there for the right car and as crazy as it sounds a collector will find a car with 80 miles on the clock infinitely more collectable than one with 3-4k miles. Im sure they would be willing to pay a premium for such a low mileage example (after all if it's going in a collection then they are probably not short of a bob or two).
 
Intreresting to see that the debate is still raging on............

I believe the Clio V6 has got quite a way to go before it will be acknowledged as a classic - it is more than likely to get there but not just yet. When it does, the big players will move in, and (collectable) Vees will be sought after. When this happens what people think about their value will become rather irrevalent as those seeking such cars will dictate the marque's value (i.e. the floor). I would give the Phase 2's at least another 5-7 years, or even a bit more (10).

However, in the meantime keeping values up will only help...........
