Phase 2 on 3k Miles £22k

Lol, I say it how it is - ....... no point in kidding yourself what something is worth-

is it a 22k car- difficult to guage- as the mileage is uber low, however if I really wanted to put that car under the spotlight, no mention in the ad of the service history & no mention of the belt change-

Its also 3 owners- so is it a classic, appreciating car like the owner says.... probably not- The mileage is good, but possibly not low enough to go into the 'classic' box- it needs to be sub 1k miles-

On its day maybe 20k depending on history- if its all up to scratch, however the reality is its illiad blue, 3 owners, ONLY a 2004-

19k......

I hope he gets his asking price, however reality wise- what did the silver one go for the other on uber low miles- was it 15k?

Illiad, Titanium & black will never be in the mix for top dollor coin- that doesnt negate the fact that they will be a lovely purchase for a buyer- after all its a V6-! [smilie=yay.gif]

3k miles does not make a classic car- Exclusivity & being very very unique/niche makes something worth pricing at top dollar-

I hope they sell it, however im sure someone made the same comment on the silver one when it hit ebay & the buyer wanted 20k- 1 year later its sold for 15k- I do however remember its first auction did actually make +16k

I'm afraid Steve your posts these days stink of car salesman, that's all you appear to be doing and all you do is knock the prices of cars that you move on and make money on.

We as members and owners care more for our cars than you ever could, why?

Since we are here for the enjoyment not for the quick buck. I hope I am saying what many may shy away from but I've had enough of your 'dreamworld' blah blah posts.

Surely it's worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for it? As anything is! If it was mine and it had a good history I would probably advertise it for similar money. Why not? The only thing that will perhaps limit its investment potential is the colour - not rare enough, I would be in the market for a liquid or a titanium or one of the other colours that were made in lower numbers.

I don't think the fact that it's had 3 owners will really affect its long term value, there are plenty of classics that sell for big money that have had a lot more owners than that!

At the end of the day for vee's to start appreciating in value, which I expect they will at some point, people are going to have to start asking for more money! And your attitude of slating every car that is advertised at strong money is doing none of us any favours

Im with Steve on this ... I hope he gets the price but will anyone on here buy it - just to keep it in a garage and never use it ? plenty of other cars for a weekend car or daily driver at lots less money ...

Will anyone on here buy it? Probably not if they pay any attention to Steve's nonsense! However someone who doesn't look at this thread might!

with respect, know your market.

If some one wants to pay that amount of money for a car that looks no different to another iliad like macs for 10k and also has the same rubber parts that perish over the same 6 yrs then they have more money that sense.

On the other hand I'm also happy for these low mileage vees coming out of hiding just means newer parts floating about for us high mileage owners once they smash the shit out of them!
