Phase 2 Headlights

Ruth Baxter

Hi, are phase 2 headlights available after market or oe only, mine have marks on the inside and no amount of polishing will clear it.
Thanks, Ian

Wowzers Ian!

How the heck have you found scuff marks on the inside?!?!

External polishing is a fairly common need and requires technical competence at fine polishing... however, you’ll probably need replacement units if not actually external.

I believe that there’s some minor colour discrepancies between Ph2 headlights - based on production date. (It’ll no doubt feature in our club registrar’s forthcoming book.)

The information is lurking on here somewhere...

Hi, just a follow up now I am behaving, in the original post there was no mention of scuff marks, it is the inside of the lens that is deteriorated/marked, possibly the xenon bulb has damaged it, not sure. I just wondered if anyone knew of aftermarket light availability or are oe spec prohibitively expensive,
Thanks Ian

I recall having my light units changed (had no time to polish them) About £200 each.

Not a DIY job I was warned.

Hi, thanks for the reply, were your replacements from Renault, I know they can charge like a wounded rhino for OEM-spec parts, I wasn’t sure if they are fitted to any other car, Ian

The V6 headlights were also on the Clio phase 2 172 or the 182 (important to note that both are different) dependant on date of manufacture (late v6’s have 182 headlights).

Thanks for the reply’s, I have contacted RPD, they messaged me back saying they don’t do headlights or body panels, I will try ECP and my local Renault dealer.
Thanks again, Ian
