Phase 2 #304, Liquid Yellow, 7,585 miles & 1 owner from new

If Kevin’s maximum bid was £38k and Bernie was £45k it’s gone to the next highest bid. I think that’s how it works

Im surprised bidding went straight from 32> 39k...

Seems odd to bid it up by £7k in one hit
obviously 39k was the reserve and this bidder put it straight over the reserve so car is now selling :approve: At least it appears that t.he owner put a realistic view on value and intends to sell :approve:

The chap from The Market, who I dealt with when I sold the S2000, called yesterday and we had a chat about [v6plaque]304[/v6plaque] - they expect it to reach "mid-50s" when bidding closes.

IMO if it had the original exhaust and had a recent cambelt service, then it should have achieved £60K...

I think you're right Dulan....but it still may!
Indeed, I hope so Mark...I recall the S2000 also went through a bit of a 'bidding frenzy' towards the end, but since no sniping is possible it remains to be seen how far this will go since there appear to be 2-3 interested parties, which is all you need.

Still 3 bidders from £47,500 up to £48,000.
Be prepared to keep watching for another 2 mins odd each time another bid goes in after just before 7.30pm.

Sold for £52K, which was £3K lower than The Market were expecting - no buyer premium, so that is what the buyer will pay on collection.

That was actually really exciting to watch it finish!

I agree, I think had it had the cam belt and new tyres plus a standard exhaust it would have achieved £60k. He could have kept the exhaust and original tyres and included them in the sale..

Much better than I would’ve thought... and I was having a dig at Duncan for pitching current valuations too low.

Maybe need a special category for LY?

; )

I stand by the values ;) the guide says 35k and upwards. 52k is above 35k! The guide used to have upper and lower brackets but I took the upper off and only left the lower as I don't think there is an exact limit!

I think the price achieved was bang on for this car. Good sale all round. :approve:

A touch more than I thought however
LY tax & Exclusivity rules ...

And low miles and one owner.
It is a stunning colour, and I don't know of any other classic or new classic where the colour makes so much difference. I've seen drab colours reduce prices on cars, but never seen anything like the LY desirability effect!
