Phase 2 #133 Titanium Silver with 35,800 miles for sale...

...at Contemporary Classics for £31,995: LINK (Seems like they have a soft spot for Silver coloured Vees).

This was the second Vee I test drove in July 2011, before I ended up acquiring [v6plaque]002[/v6plaque]. [v6plaque]133[/v6plaque] was, and still appears to be, a very good example, though it went through a succession of owners until the last owner got hold of it. :approve:

"This beautifully maintained example has covered 35,800 miles from new and has been with its current keeper for the last 8 years over which time it has been maintained at no expense by V6 specialists."

"Of particular mentioned was a comprehensive engine out overhaul in 2017 (less than 1000 miles ago) by the team at SG Motorsport comprising of a cambelt change, new water pump, new clutch and slave cylinder, new starter motor, new alternator, new brake disks and pads, new AC condensor, new engine mounts and suspension top mounts, 4 new Michelin Pilot SuperSport tyres and a new battery. The bills for the work came to just shy of £7,000."

Plenty of history and discussions recorded on here: LINK

To think this particular car could be had for just £14,250, and where some even thought it overpriced and was worth only £13,250, 8 years ago is a testament to the Vee's appeal.

Has anyone else noticed that it would appear, without exception, that the UK numbered plaques were applied slightly wonky. Weirdly it always seems to be the same amount of wonk!

That aside, what a lovely looking car. I've heard it said that silver cars are the fastest! ;)

the link to that old discussion is funny.
People like [mention=158,#999966]chunkv6[/mention] taking the piss because Sam Bignell had just bought the LY from Acidv6 for £19k in 2012.
Presumably at £40k to £60k now they would be having a heart attack and they wouldn't have been laughing back then if only they knew.....

Given that they were effectively applied at the UK dockside when they rolled off the boat I'd be surprised if one was straight!

Contemporary Classics aren't that far from me. But I think the wife would kill me if I bought another one.

Seems very sensibly priced I think. Based on how fast the classic, prestige, high performance car market is moving I don't think it'll hang around at that price!

Absolutely, and that goes for all, or most, of the cars they have in stock - I missed a rather nice BMW 1M Coupe early this year, before lockdown.

I popped in to see the guys at The Octane Collection yesterday as they've just sold one of my cars for me and they sold 5 cars between Monday and yesterday lunch time, which considering their stock is unbelievable! I think this trend might come to a gridding halt when the government furlough scheme comes to an end though...

Dealers like Contemporary Classics etc are all crying out for good stock. The Octane Collection are trying to convince me to flip mine, but unless something drastic happens, it's on my 'ill never sell it' list..

Agree, I think come August we may see a different picture to what it is now.

I have heard that there has been an increase in the trend where people are capitalising on the 'business loans with no repayments for 1 year' and using these funds to acquire all manner of assets. It seems like déjà vu when quantitative easing was last seen during the financial crisis and the meltdown that followed.
