petrol cap lock removal

hi can anyone help i need to remove the lock from a petrol cap but have no key.thanks simon

drill it maybe? or slide hammer to pull it out. sorry cant be more helpful

Is the petrol cap off the car ? I would assume the lock will be a barrel lock fastened from the rear with perhaps a circlip or some other fastener.

its from a v6 got it from a breakers yard i need the lock removed to get it anidised black and put my lock in.thanks simon
