Performance Paint

I have been in the bodywork trade for over ten years and am pissed off with working for other people so I have decided to go it alone . I have a workshop with a booth and all other body shop facilities and am talking to a guy who specializes in carbon fibre, carbon kevlar and glass fibre to hopefully see if we can work together on designing and making some new products. For any of you who are intrested in anything body work related no matter how big or small give me a shout and I will be more than happy to help.

Jon.

Ooo, i may be intrested in a front end blow over mate, especially as your not far from me, could also get loads of pics to show how good your work is? ;)

No problem mate sort you out a decent price for a bit of free advertising.

Would you be offering polishing and powdercoating services too?

If not i'll probably need a few cosmetic bits like trim and stuff painted 8)

Im sure it can be arranged as there are a powercoating company and a electroplaters and polishing company near enough next door to me.

Is it 449 sports blue? couple of pics to see damage woud be good.

Quite a long way from me :(. How much roughly would you charge to repair rear arches and blow over mate? Also how much roughly for a full respray? :)

All depending on how you want the repairs done, im not intrested in doing bodge repairs with fibre glass and the like but would fabricate some new arches and weld them in and show you photos of the work at diffrent stages, it would be quite hard to price as i don know how much rust there is on the wheel box and the actual arch its self. For a full repaint of the exterior anywhere from £800- 1200 depending on damage for something the size of a clio with some discount for you guys. I have only started this buisness recently so will be doing some super cheap work to get my self on my feet, not meaning sub standard work just cheap from a labour point of view, if dan goes ahead you will be able to see the quality of my paint work first hand and through pictures.

hi how much roughly for a rear bumper respray and a drivers door?

Around £120 per panel depending on condition, its quite hard to price jobs without seeing them.

Maybe once you've done some work and come up with your own cmpany name and website, there could be a dedicated section on this forum for quotes and a gallery or something...

Just a thought really

Cheers matey good idea. Nice looking car by the way, nice to see a different colour on a clio.

Carbon fibre is the hardest thing to paint ever if you want a good finish i know this from experience..

EPM for carbon fibre ever time they are the best hands down.

If you have the right system of products i.e epoxy primers etc its not that bad.

Takes a very long time prep wise,

I know what you mean when it goes furry it can be a bit of any arse. Have you much experience with carbon fibre?

The problem we found was pitting mainly, only recently been introduced to it but the people i work with have had experience especialy the painters.
