This has kept me busy for past few months, I’m out of my comfort zone....
Long story short my 1955’s Renault 750 interior let the car down, shit brown threadbare tweedy short of stuff, manky skinky old sound deadening and warped, damp damaged door cards.....trimming isn’t cheap...hence why it’s took so long.
But a mate sold me a near complete set of original British built seats that were ripe for re trimming, meant I could keep shite ones in car whilst I gutted them, car had wrong French built deck chairs in with horse fluff in them, I gutted interior and threw it all in the skip, made all new door cards and panels, sound deafening pads and 7 mm under carpet and cut new carpets.
Louise at Peak Autotrim copied the OE Brit covers and fitted them to the frames, well chuffed, cost me a grand plus I supplied the vinyl from Martrim2BF41429-8321-48BE-A9C8-DF1F2AF03402.webp04483173-D234-4C07-B77B-A03B65CFF8FE.webp
I’ve added a few gauges and there’s still a bit of finishing off to do, might put a mech less head unit in, make some speaker pods for rear shelf.
It’s a bit classic for you on here, but if you’re in need of repairs on seats , bolster panels etc that’s their bread and butter, really good prices , Louise show me a Ford Ranger seat she does loads of , drivers side bolster if the seat was out of the car was about £70 for a new matching panel sewn in.
I’ll pop a few progress pics up if anyone’s interested, but you get my drift

Thank you, can’t lie it’s been a struggle....unknown territory for me ....found it difficult to motivate myself to do some of it for fear of bollocking it up, but I just pushed on if it was perfect or not!
Had to laugh when new seats wouldn’t let me engage reverse.....this car is running a four speed Dauphine box with a reverse that is left through a gate and hard back.....straight into passenger seat before it engaged, so I’ve had to cut gear-lever and bend it forward , then weld cut up.
Sticking carpets was in was fun....off my tits on contact adhesive....
