Oil!!!!

Whats people opinion on the oil front?? - I need to put new oil in the vee but i keep hearing the word "opie". what will be the difference if i just put 5W-40 in from magnatec etc???

Also do i have to buy the genuine Renault oil filter??

I believe the genuine filter is good, and keeps warranty is you use genuine parts.
