Number of Vee's for sale.

I'm liking the fact that there's only a handful of Vees currently for sale on the pistonheads page (7 plus a monstrosity of a car).

The time to start pushing up prices is nearly upon us. Those of us who have held onto our vehicles for around a decade will reap the benefits of having a 1 or 2 owner vehicle, over vehicles that have passed from owner to owner, by people who want the car, but not the bills that come with it, will be at the bottom end of the market!

More likely its the week before Xmas and nobody buys cars just now.
That coupled with the fact that in winter very few impulse buys (which a V6 often is) are those of a rear wheel persuasion.

I think the time for you to make any decent money on your vee is still a good few years away.
Just enjoy it. Cars have never been, except for the odd few, a good investment.

there is exceptionally few for sale at the moment, theres usually always more than this!

as long as they keep getting exported and written off, theres no reason for the price not to creep up.

Agreed. Look at what the Sagaris boys have done to the market! They were down at 29k in the latter part of 08. There now up at 40+ for the same car!

Got my eyes peeled for a Mk2 myself.

Will maybe do a new thread to ask you guys to keep an eye out for liddle me.

I agree, a special Vee indeed.

Having an iceberg 230 at present though, I really fancy an illiad or a red one this time round.

Like Iceberg ph1s, Illiad ph2s are ten a penny. Red ones however. Hmmmm. Bet Colin will sell you his if the price begins with a 2 ;) ;)

I do love the red although I saw an illiad on the Isle of Man last year that looked outstanding.

Good to hear your thinking of making the change dfb (don't know your real name lol) I know you have wanted a mk2 for a while! :approve:

IMO wait for a colour other than blue, you aren't a first time owner so may as well get a rarer colour, I was extremely lucky with mine as Alex actually PM'd me after I posted on here that I wanted another one so I didn't really have to wait long,

I remember being talking to nev and Alex in great length, and had one of the biggest decisions ever, mars or liquid, I'm soooo glad I went mars now the colour is just amazing!!

However Shaun's car still just does it for me, lunar with silver pods and no leather 8)

^ FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!

Illiad is king of kings.

Nothing against Steve's at all...It's cracking, but i wouldn't go from a ph1 to a cat listed ph2...(sorry)

Money no object, I'd get an iceberg ph1 in concourse with Cromodoras like the one we see at Mas du Clos. Perfection.

Money no object I'd have three vees:

- A perfect ph1 in concours condition with delivery mileage. This would be parked in my lounge so I could look at it.

- A track slag ph2; stripped, kw'd, cromodoras, straight cut sequential box, straight through exhaust attached to a million bhp race-prepped engine. This would be treated like a ginger step-child and would most likely spend a lot of time being crashed.

- And of course my vee.

Ill try and post one up. I remember it turning up on a trailer. Ammoungst the biggest gathering of vee's ever with pretty much every colour available there, it looked the dogs ball bag!
