Hey guys. I just thought i would show off my latest car and it would be nice if anyone knows anything about it too. So i first seen this car around 4 years ago when my friends father bought it off a local man who had it around 4 years in south wales. My friends father has been doing bit on her ever since. New brakes/service/ removing and repainting everything underneath (on the front) starter motor and alternator. The norm from what i am told. So the car is 90% finished and it came up for sale the other week. I have never had an interest in the v6 but i went to look at it and thought this is a bit of me. I like rare and unusual cars and bikes. So all in all my plan is to change the timing belt (done by renault 9 years/10,000miles ago, tidy the car up there is a dent in the boot needs done, the passanger window doesn’t work and use it for shows during 2020. The first one will be at castle combe spring action day. The car has done 66,000miles and is in very good condition but i look forward to cleaning her up. If anyone has any more info on my V that would be awesome. Thanks for looking.

Welcome Freddy, and congrats on the new car.

Last time I made any notes on it was when it was up for sale in 2011.

The for sale advert said "we are offering this car at a very low trade price due to it wanting a bit of TLC and we don't have the time, short mot, needs two rear tyres, abs light is on, exhaust is rattling and blowing slightly, few small scuffs"

it had a bit of a scuff on the rear bumper next to the drivers side wheel, but nothing to worry about.

Is that a Renault 5 Monaco next to it?

Thanks for the info, it is always good to know a bit about a cars history. It is 90% ready for the road now. The last owner spent a lot of time on her. I just need to do the timing belt and the clutch. Ans she’ll be ready for show season then.

So the car is all done and running nice. Had problems with the old coils so i put a full set in. Took a lot of work but i’m happy with her. All The work that was done wasn’t needed but whilst i was there i done it. All in all it’s had timing belt, clutch re con, rear wheel bearings, all new abs rings, rear caliper rebuild, rocker breather, full set of coils, michi ps4 tyres, full service of oils plugs filters, new starter motor and alternator all the hubs driveshafts have been painted new disks and pads, the only thing i am waiting on is the steering wheel re furb by royal steering wheels and an under engine undertray which is finding difficult to track down. All that work is just the work i have done the previous owner done all the front end over the last 4 years.
