To equalise the exhaust/manifold pressures from bank to bank. If ones not fitted to an unequal length system, one bank can run better than the other in theory. Shouldn't cause a problem but its not ideal hense the reason reno fitted a collector pipe to the vee as standard (crude though it may be)

The system doesnt feature a balance pipe as yet, will feature in the second half headers cats etc main aim for the rear boxes was to get rid of that dirty collector box, plus reduce the wieght hanging out the back of the car. Scott at SG has very kindly agreed to lend me a set of TWR headers to take a look at, for some inspiration or to make a copy of, will update as and when

mines got a balance pipe, do i win a prize?
the balance pipe was worth substantial gains in midrange over the same pipe without.
 
so, the question is, are you selling these pipes, if so how much. i am interested in one of these as i am still doing my back to back dyno pulls, getting ready for a bigger engine, let me know your price?
