New to RenaultSport

Hi guys, Ive been driving a Volvo T4 for the last 9 years an loved it but after doing a track day in an M4 last month Ive decided to move on from the old girl to a RenaultSport Megane RS 275 Cup S, I'm taking delivery when the new 66 plate comes out so got plenty of time to sort everything out. Cant wait to get it and this site seems like a great resource.
I wanna give the car a good seeing to before I take her out, are there any problems I should keep an eye on ie rust, reliability? one thing I noticed on the test drive of the 265 rs was a smell of burning clutch, is the clutch weak on these cars? Are they bullet proof if you look after them?
What kind of Turbo do they have? How long do they last typically? my T4 still has the original in great condition, low maintenance. Are they TwinScroll or Variable Vane?

Hi @Darren Lomax

Ignore rust , by the time you come to sell it you will be fine.

The clutches are fine as long as you dont launch every 30 seconds.

The turbos are TD04h-15T. They will last an age.

The cars are pretty solid tbh these days. I had a r26 but it was pretty similar to your car ( albeit not as quick )

Alright Adey, yeah I'll update when ive got it. Im hoping to keep it for years, my plan is to seal the paint an wheels etc

We have a few detail freaks in here ( and I say that in a complimentary way ) I would suggest that you take a peek at the Detailing and ask away in there. The advice is spot on and easy for a daft northern lad like me to follow so I am sure you will be fine.

Welcome to the site! If you want any info on sealants and such, just ask I'm in Milton Keynes if you fancied a trip over to have the car protected well before and track action.

I am lucky, there was only 3 left in France according to my mate who sold me it. I'm not sure what trim i'll get as there wasn't any flexibility on it as it had already started production apparently, saying that I went to Renault Liverpool the morning I signed for mine and they said there was no more left, bit odd that. can.... not..... wait.
