Thats 3D print prototyping - cheap plastic to rattle out inexpensive and rapid models. Once they settle on a final developed product then I would imagine it would be printed in metal, though a quick google showed this plastic one working
I saw the ally laser 3D printing in person at Renault F1 HQ. Absolutely awesome, they had a room with a bank of 5 or 6 machines all going at the same time.
